Pre-Order Policy and Information

Pre-order with confidence. We take full payment upfront for all pre-orders. If you change your mind before your order ships, we'll issue a full store credit — no questions asked. As a small NZ business, we want you to shop with confidence.

The basics

What is a pre-order?

A pre-order is an item not yet in stock that you can purchase now to secure your allocation. Full payment is collected at checkout, which allows us to lock in your item with our suppliers and guarantee your place in the allocation.

Paying by bank transfer

We accept bank deposit/transfer for all pre-orders. Your pre-order is not processed, secured, or allocated until payment is received in full. If payment isn't received within 3 working days, your pre-order may be cancelled and the item released back into stock. Please use your order number as the payment reference so we can match your payment quickly.

Estimated shipping dates

Each pre-order product includes an estimated shipping date sourced from our suppliers. These dates can change — if delays occur, we'll notify you via the email address provided at checkout.


Mixed carts — in-stock & pre-order items

We'll be honest — this one took us a while to figure out. When a customer wants both in-stock and pre-order items, there's no perfect solution, and we explored several before landing on what we think is fairest for everyone.

We looked at combining the shipping into one charge at checkout — but that meant a higher, unexplained number with no clear reason why. We looked at holding your in-stock items until the pre-order arrived — but pre-orders can take months, and that felt like punishing you for buying something we already have on the shelf. We even explored absorbing the extra cost ourselves, but as a small independent NZ store, that simply isn't sustainable.

What we landed on: pre-orders must be placed as a separate order to in-stock items. Our store prevents mixed carts automatically. It's a small extra step, but it means your in-stock items ship straight away, your pre-order ships the moment it arrives, and every charge is clear and predictable.

Pre-orders have a future ship date

In-stock items are packed and shipped within 1–3 business days. Pre-orders ship as soon as stock arrives from the manufacturer — which could be weeks or months away.

Mixing them means two shipments no matter what

There's no way to ship an in-stock item and a pre-order together without one of them waiting. Separate orders means each ships the moment it's ready — no unnecessary delays on either side.

Multiple pre-orders with different arrival dates

If you order multiple pre-order items with different estimated arrival dates, we'll do our best to ship each one as soon as it's ready. In some cases we may contact you to discuss the best shipping option for your order.

You're not paying more than you should. Two orders means two shipping charges — but that's exactly what two separate shipments cost. Each order is charged our standard flat-rate shipping, the same rate as always. There's no surcharge, no penalty, and no markup for placing them separately.


Cancellations & refunds

Please choose carefully when placing a pre-order. As a small NZ collector store, we lock in your stock as soon as your order is placed — taking on the cost and risk upfront so you never miss out on the figures you want.

For this reason, we're unable to offer refunds for change of mind, but we'll always do our best to look after you.

Change of mind before dispatch? We'll cancel your order and issue a gift card for the full value — redeemable on anything in our store.

Full refunds are issued only if:

  • The product is cancelled or cannot be supplied by the manufacturer or supplier, or
  • The product is not delivered within 30 days beyond the estimated shipping date and we have made reasonable attempts to notify you of the delay.

Gift cards & pre-orders

Please note: gift cards cannot currently be used to pay for pre-order items, due to a payment processing limitation on deferred purchases. If you'd like to use a gift card towards a pre-order, please contact us and we'll be happy to help arrange this manually.


Common questions

Why can't I add a pre-order and an in-stock item to the same cart?

Our store automatically prevents this to keep things simple and transparent for everyone. Just complete your in-stock order first, then come back to place your pre-order — or the other way around. Both orders will be tracked separately in your account.

Does placing two orders mean I pay more for shipping?

Each order is charged our standard flat-rate shipping — the same rate you'd pay on any order. Two orders means two shipping charges, but there's no extra fee or surcharge. You're paying exactly what two shipments cost, nothing more.

When will my pre-order ship?

Every pre-order product page shows an estimated ship date. We'll also email you when your order is on its way. Dates are estimates and can shift — we'll always let you know if anything changes.

What if I order two pre-orders that arrive at different times?

We'll do our best to ship each one as soon as it's ready so you're not waiting longer than necessary. If there's anything to discuss about your specific order we'll reach out directly.

Can I update my shipping address after placing a pre-order?

Yes — contact us as soon as possible before dispatch and we'll update it for you. Visit our Contact page and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

What if I change my mind about a pre-order?

As long as your pre-order hasn't been dispatched, we'll cancel your order and issue a gift card for the full value — redeemable on anything in our store. Just get in touch and we'll sort it out.
